Resort Rules

Wilderness Village is a private, Member owned Resort. As a condition of accessing our facilities, we require that you comply with our rules and policies.

Wilderness Village is a privately owned resort.  To access our facilities, you must adhere to our rules and policies, which are in place to ensure a pleasant experience for all campers.  If you have any questions or need clarification, please reach out to our office staff or Resort Patrol staff. Resort Patrol staff are authorized to enforce our rules.  It is your responsibility to read and understand these rules; failure to comply will result in removal from the premises without refund, and possible additional fines may be applied as necessary.

We do not tolerate Aggressive, unacceptable, or inappropriate conduct toward Staff and/or other Campers.

    1. The speed limit within Resort property is 20 Km/hr. All motorized vehicles must be operated safely and in accordance with resort rules and the applicable Motor Vehicle Act, Provincial and Federal rules, and regulations.
    2. Registration and Site occupation:
      1. All RVs must be backed into sites. Parking is only permitted on gravel site pads or designated parking lots. Maximum of two reservations may occupy any one site. Each reservation can accommodate one family unit, up to 8 persons.
      2. All campers must register at the office after selecting a site. Each site post has a street name and site number attached. Valid photo ID is required for all registrations. Only registered campers are allowed; non-members are not permitted to have visitors at the Resort.  Site tags are provided and must be attached to the site post.
      3. Reserving or holding a site for campers arriving later is strictly prohibited.
      4. Gathering or cutting of live trees, vegetation and/or flowers is prohibited. Nothing can be tied or attached to trees using metal clasps, staples, nails, chains or cables (such as coated pet cables)
      5. It is important to keep your site clean and tidy during your stay. Please ensure all garbage and recyclables are removed before checkout into the dumpsters provided.  If campers leave a site in an unclean condition that requires additional maintenance or cleaning, a minimum fine of $100 will be charged to the credit card associated with the reservation.
    3. General Stewardship:
      1. Quiet time is 11:00 PM. This means: no excessive noise that disrupts other campers.
      2. Minors - Parents and/or Guardians are held responsible for the conduct of all minor children under 18. Minors are subject to an 11:00 pm curfew and must be supervised at an individual site after 11:00 pm.
      3. Pets must be leashed at all times (except in off-leash area) and droppings must be cleaned up and disposed of appropriately. Pets are not permitted in public areas* such as the playground, sports fields, decks, or inside any building (*except for clearly identified service animals).
      4. Alcohol* and cannabis may only be consumed within a campsite. *Alcohol may be consumed at Resort-sponsored events such as Pub Night or licensed areas such as the Store/Concession/Lodge only.
      5. Fires must never be left unattended and only permitted in designated fire pits. Please use firewood responsibly; removal of firewood from the Resort is prohibited and considered theft.
    4. Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs:
      No lifeguard on duty – use at your own risk. Pool rules and occupancy must always be observed, and are clearly posted at each pool and hot tub. Adults must remain within arm's length of individuals and/or small children who cannot swim.
      1. No food, alcohol, glass or beverages other than water in plastic bottles on pool decks/hot tubs.
      2. Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult in all pool and hot tub areas.
      3. Children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper.
      4. Swimwear is required in all pools and hot tubs – no streetwear.
      5. The use of hard-shelled projectiles such as leather (or simulated leather) soccer balls, volleyballs, footballs and frisbees are not allowed to be thrown within the pool areas. The use of soft-shelled water toys, balls and small inflatable toys are allowed; it is encouraged to be aware and courteous of others during use. 
      6. Jumping or diving into the pools and/or hot tubs is not permitted.
    5. ATV/OHV use: ATVs, OHVs and dirt bikes are not permitted for transportation within the Resort.  They must be loaded onto a vehicle or trailer to access the staging area. Access to trails and day-use parking is available in the Secondary Compound. Please ensure respectful trail use and operate ATVs and OHVs only on the approved routes in and out of the resort. 
    6. Fireworks, firearms and other recreational equipment such as paintball guns, airsoft, archery, etc. with a high-risk factor are strictly prohibited.
