Plan Your Stay at Wilderness Village Resort

Use our online reservation system to book RV sites, cabins, or glamping tents for your preferred dates. Wilderness Village Resort offers family-friendly camping with modern amenities, including outdoor pools, hot tubs, recreation areas, and on-site activities — all just minutes from Rocky Mountain House.

Member priority booking applies. Public bookings are accepted when available.

Reservation Periods & Booking Access

Member Booking

Members receive early priority access to reservations during designated booking periods, held mid-January, including long weekends and other high-demand dates.

Non-Member & Public Booking

Public reservations open February 1st, after the member priority booking period and are subject to availability. Some dates and site types may be limited.

What to Know Before You Book

  • Reservations are completed online through our booking system

  • A deposit is required at the time of booking - cabin deposits are non-refundable

  • Sites are not reserved - First-come, first-served site selection

  • Amenities, events, and activities vary throughout the season 

  • Make sure to add your spouse/significant other to your profile, so that either party is able to check-in and/or make modifications to your reservation.

Wilderness Village Resort operates seasonally. Availability of amenities, events, and services may vary by time of year.

Important Seasonal & Refund Information

Wilderness Village Resort is seasonal in nature. As such, some amenities, events, and activities may be unavailable during certain times of the year.

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Closed amenities or facilities

  • Weather conditions or air quality

  • Fire bans or government advisories (including pandemics)

  • Illness, vehicle issues, or travel disruptions

  • Animal-related incidents

  • Evictions resulting from rule violations

Village Eats and the General Store are independently operated leaseholders - hours may vary.

FAQs

Why do I need to provide picture ID at check-in?

Picture ID is required for security purposes, in accordance with our Resort Rules. The name of the person checking in must be listed on the reservation.

Can I choose a specific site when making a reservation?

RV Site selection is made on a first-come, first-served basis. Campsites are not assigned or selected.

What is considered a 'family unit'?

A family unit consists of parents or guardians and their dependent children living at the same primary residence.


Are visitors or day guests allowed?

Unfortunately, public guests are not allowed day visitors. Only guests listed on a reservation can stay. If your friends want to meet up, you’ll need to meet them outside the resort.

Are pets allowed?

Pet policies vary by accommodation type and location. All pets must be leashed and supervised at all times. Pet dropping must be cleaned up. We do not allow known aggressive pets within the resort. Electronic leashes are NOT permitted. Please review the Resort Rules & Policies for details.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in and check-out times are outlined in the Resort Rules and may vary by accommodation type.  Cabins and Glamping Tent check-in is at 4:00 pm - unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early check-ins. RV sites check-in at 2:00 pm.

All non-members must check-out by 11:00 am. 

When do your pools open and close?

At least one of our pools is usually open in time for the May long weekend and stays open until after Thanksgiving; however, this is fully dependent on Alberta weather. 

When do your children's activities begin?

Our Fun Shack children's activities begin in early July after school is out for the summer and ends September long weekend.

Can RVs and Trailers park on designated tenting sites?

Yes, RVs and trailers may park on designated tenting sites. Tents should only park on designated tenting sites, if available.

Do I have to have a reservation to play mini-golf?

No, you don't have to have a membership or reservation to play our 18-hole mini-golf course.

Please read before you book: All pools are now closed. The Adult Hot Tub remains open for the winter season.

Through our booking portal you can view & book available dates. We require a one-night deposit at the time of booking as well as some information like your name, address, phone number and email address. The remainder of the payment will be automatically applied two weeks before the start of your reservation. 

  • Maximum of one family unit per reservation, up to a maximum of 8 people. This means two parents or guardians and up to six dependents.
  • If you are tenting, you must choose only designated tenting sites when you arrive.
  • Only one sleeping unit is included in your reservation, additional tents are an additional cost and must be occupied by members of your immediate family.
  • We do not allow day visitors into the resort. Only guests with a confirmed reservation may enter. If your friends want to meet up, you’ll need to meet them outside the resort.
  • We do not assign sites. After the registration process, you will be given instructions on how to choose an appropriate & available site and then report it back to our office to complete your check in. We do not guarantee sites side by side or dual sites to share with another member of your party.
